Strategic Risk Solutions (“SRS”) today announced that Paul Owens will be joining the Board of Directors of the company. Mr. Owens will serve as an independent director as well as a strategic advisor to SRS.
Mr. Owens is a well known figure in the global captive industry. He was most recently the CEO of Willis Towers Watson PLC’s (WTW) Global Captive Practice and has over 30 years’ experience in the global insurance sector and recently in the captive industry in Europe, North America and Asia Pacific. Mr. Owens retired from his role at WTW earlier this year.

Having retired and moved on from that role, I am keen to put some of the experience I have gained to use. I had great respect for SRS as a competitor and have been impressed with how SRS has developed into a very strong independent captive manager and a viable alternative to the broker owned managers. I am excited to see how I can assist SRS in its global expansion, leveraging its compelling independent model and singular focus on captive management and consulting.”
Mr. Owens will be based in the United Kingdom and will initially focus his strategic advisory role on the expansion of SRS’s operations in Europe and other new regions, while also providing advice on governance, operations and the overall direction of the business.
