Current Responsibility
Craig is responsible for the oversight and development of SRS’ clients in Hawaii. He also provides support to other western region clients and is a technical resource on insurance related management, accounting, financial reporting and regulatory issues.
Experience
Craig has over 25 years experience in the captive and commercial sectors of the local and national insurance markets. Prior to joining SRS in January 2011, he was Deputy Insurance Commissioner and Captive Insurance Administrator for the State of Hawaii, where he established and managed a specialized branch to prudently regulate and develop captives in the State. During his ten year tenure, he oversaw a five-fold increase in the size of the captive insurance industry in Hawaii. In addition to his role as a regulator, Craig established and managed the captive management operations of first Johnson & Higgins and subsequently AIG in Hawaii. Prior to captives, he worked for a national insurance holding company as an internal auditor and workers compensation underwriting specialist. He was most recently CFO at a multi-line property and casualty insurance group domiciled in Hawaii.
