Newsletters

SRS publishes a quarterly newsletter, called 180°, a guide to what’s hot in the world of captives and ART. 180° contains articles on topical issues affecting captives, updates from captive domiciles and news from the SRS captive team.

The most recent issue of 180° looks at one of the fastest growing areas of the captive industry, 831(b) captives. We explain the potential tax benefits to the election, as well as some of the drawbacks to be considered. In our second article we examine risk pooling, arrangements which are often need by 831(b) captives to satisfy risk distribution requirements.
